Question 796583: an angle is 20 more than three times of given angle if the two angles are supplementery? the angles are
Answer by waynest(281) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1st angle = x
2nd angle = 3x + 20
x + (3x + 20) = 180
4x + 20 = 180
4x + 20 - 20 = 180 - 20
4x = 160
4x/4 = 160/4
x = 40
check:
40 + (3(40) + 20) = 180
40 + (120 + 20) = 180
40 + 140 = 180
180 = 180
