5x= 5 times the angle, in degrees
90%5Eo-x= the measure of the complement, in degrees
(complement means what you need to add to get to 90%5Eo)
180%5Eo-x= the measure of the supplement, in degrees
(supplement means what you need to add to get to 180%5Eo)
