Question 775372: what is the measure of angle A will make this quadrilateral a parallelogram?angle D =7x+1 angle B=10x-23

If B and D are opposite angles of a parallelogram, then they are congruent.
So 7x + 1 = 10x - 23
Solve for x:
3x = 24 -> x = 8
So the measure of angle B is 10*8 - 23 = 57 deg.
Since consecutive angles of a parallelogram are supplementary, we have A + 57 = 180, or A = 123 deg.
