Find the 2 supplementary angles if one angle is 24 degrees less than thrice the other
.
Let x = one angle
then
3x-24 = second angle
.
x + 3x-24 = 180
4x-24 = 180
4x = 204
x = 51 degrees (one angle)
.
second angle:
3x-24 = 3(51)-24 = 153-24 = 129 degrees
