Question 760788: the measures of the angles of a triangle are 2x,x + 24, and x - 4. find the value of x. then find theasures of the angles
Answer by Cromlix(4381) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Total of 180 degrees in a triangle.
Therefore, 2x + x + 24 + x - 4 = 180
Collect like terms.
4x + 20 = 180
4x = 180 - 20
4x = 160
x = 40 degrees
2x = 80 degrees
x + 24 = 64 degrees
x - 4 = 36 degrees
Total = 180 degrees
Hope this helps.
