Question 760489: Angle P and Angle S are Complementary angles.Find the Measure of Angle P and measure of Angle S if the measure of Angle P = 15x-7 and measure of Angle S = 5x+1
Answer by Cromlix(4381)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Complementary angles = 90 degrees
So (5x + 1) + (15x - 7) = 90
5x + 1 + 15x - 7 = 90
Collect like terms
Change sign as you cross the =
20x = 90 + 6
20x = 96
x = 96/20
x = 4.8.
5x + 1 = 25 degrees
15x - 7 = 65 degrees
Total 90 degrees
