Question 756032: the instructions are to discuss two cost options that are being considered.
the two options are y = 300 and y = 2x
I know to use the substitution method and solve for x.
then the instructions are to solve the system of equations algebraically to determine where the two cost options are equivalent, showing all work.
this is where I'm stuck, I have 300 = 2x
300 divided by 2
x = 150
I'm not positive though what the question is asking when it says to determine where the two cost options are equivalent.
thanks for your help.

If x = 150, what is the total cost for option 1, y = 300?

If x = 150, what is the total cost for option 2, y = 2x?

If both are the same, then you have found the equilibrium point.
