Question 715820: Hello my name is Emelie. I am in fifth grade.For my homework I need help with angles.I need to find the measure of G in a triangle. On the top of a triangle it is the number I have to find out,on the left side bottom the number is 55 degrees and on the right side bootom the number is 125 degrees. I have tryed to subtract 55 from 125 which equals to 70. But I am not sure that 70 is the right answer. The choices that my homework has are... A:55 degrees,acute. B:55 degrees,right. C:70 degrees,acute and D:125 degrees,obtuse.

Angles of 55 degrees and 125 degrees cannot possibly be the interior angles of a triangle,
because the measures of all 3 interior angles must add to 180 degrees,
and 55 degrees plus 125 degrees add to 180 degrees (55+125=180),
not leaving any room for a third angle.

However, if the 125 degree angle is an exterior angle, like this
then the other interior base angle measures
just like the left one, making it an isosceles triangle.
That is nice to know, but not related to the answer.
If the drawing is like mine,

An angle measuring is smaller than a right angle ()
