Get all of the n's onto one side. So subtract 3n on both sides.
Now get 5n by itself by adding 9 to each side.
Finally get n all alone by dividing by 5 on both sides.
It seems weird and strange at first but once you see that you are just moving things over to a different side it becomes very easy and as you get more into school you do it A LOT more. I hope that this helped
