Question 713403: the difference between two supplementary angles is 36, what are the measures of both angles?
Answer by vheroli(126)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
supplementary angle = 180 degrees
Angle 1: x
Angle 2: x+36
Solution:
180= x + (x+36) : Simplify
180-36 = x+x
144 = 2x : Divide both sides by 2 to get x
144/2 = 2x/2
72 = x
Answer:
Angle 1: x = 72
Angle 2: x+36
=72+36
=108
