Question 704689: "Two angles form a linear pair. The measure of one angles is 8 times the measure of the other angle. Find the measure of each angle." I have a finals tomorrow and I'm really stuck here =c. I did the substitution method and it didn't seem to work for me since I was really confused. I also have other questions but ill get into that if I can with my teacher, hopefully. Thanks very much!
Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let one angle be x
the other is 8x
x+8x = 180 degrees (linear pair)
9x=180
/9
x= 20
one angle is 20
the other is 8*x
8*20=160
The angles are 20 & 160
