You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Supplementary Angles: Two angles who's sum is equal to 180 degrees
Therefore, if I have angle x, and its supplement angle is 3 times that angle increased by 20 degrees, then I know the following:
Angle 1 = x
Angle 2 = 3x%2B20
Both of these angles add to 180 degrees.
x+%2B+%283x%2B20%29+=+180
= 4x%2B20=180
=4x=160
=x=40 Angle 1 = 40 degrees
=>Angle 2
=%283%2A40%29%2B20
=140 degrees
Check:
Angle 1 + Angle 2= 180
40%2B140+=+180
