Using the standard slope-intercept form for an equation of a line y = mx + b

  where m is the slope and b the y-intercept.

(0,2)

(3,0)  m = -2/3

 y = (-2/3)x + b   || Using (x,y) ordered pair (0,2) to solve for b

 2 = 

 2 = b

 y = (-2/3)x + 2
