The perimeter is the sum of all sides. That would be 2 bases and 2 heights.
A=b*h
A=8 ft * 4 ft
A=32 square feet
P=2b+2h
P=2(8 ft)+2(4 ft)
P=16 ft + 8 ft
P=24 ft
