A and B are supplementary angles. mA is 6° less than twice mB. Find mA and mB.
----
Let mA = 180-x
Then mB = x
-------
Equation:
180-x = 2x-6
3x = 186
x = 31 degrees (measure of B)
---
180-x = 180-31 = 149 degrees (measure of A)
-----------

A and B are supplementary angles. mA is 6° less than twice mB. Find mA and mB.
Since the angles are supplementary, then angle B = 180 - A
We then have: A = 2(180 - A) - 6
A = 360 - 2A - 6
A + 2A = 354
3A = 354
Angle A = , or
Angle B = 180 - 118, or
You can do the check!!
