Question 637826: my problem is find the measure of each marked angle. A+B=180. A=(10x+7) B=(7x+3)
the answer i am looking for is A=107 and B= 73 Show me how to get the same thing

Answer by DrBeeee(684)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(1) A = 10x + 7
(2) B = 7x + 3
(3) A + B = 180
By substituting A of (1) and B of (2) into (3) you have
(10x + 7) + (7x + 3) = 180
Simplifying
10x +7x +7 +3 = 180
17x + 10 = 180
17x = 180 - 10
17x = 170
x = 170/17
x = 10
By substituting x = 10 into (1) we have
A = 10*10 + 7
A = 107
By substituting x = 10 into (2) we have
B = 7*10 + 3
B = 73
Answer: A = 107 and B = 73
