the measure of the angles in a triangle are 100, 5x+8 and 3x. solve for x and
find the measures of the two angles.
:
100 + (5x+8) + 3x = 180
5x + 3x + 8 = 180 - 100
8x = 80 - 8
8x = 72
x = 72/8
x = 9:
2nd angle: 5(9)+8 = 53 degrees
3rd angle: 3(9) = 27 degrees
;
:
Check: 100+53+27 = 180
