One of the complimentary angle measure 15° increased by half its compliment.
.
Let x = angle
then
90-x = complement of angle
.
from: "One of the complimentary angle measure 15° increased by half its compliment" we have:
x = 15+(90-x)/2
multiplying both sides by 2:
2x = 30+(90-x)
2x = 30+90-x
3x = 30+90
3x = 120
x = 40 degrees
.
complement:
90-x = 90-40 = 50 degrees
.
answer:
the two angles are 40 and 50 degrees
