Question 562161: Two angles are complementary.One angle is 20 degrees
Smaller than the other angle what are the measures of
Both angles

complementary means they add up to 90 degrees
We have two angles, angle X and an angle that is x-20
we know that these two angles add up to 90
That gives us:
x+x-20=90
2x-20=90
2x=110
x=55
and the other angle will be 55-20=35 and 35+55 adds up to 90
