Please help me solve the following problem:
The measure of the supplement of an angle exceeds 3 times the measure of the complement of the angle by 10. Find the measure of the complment angle.
let the angle = x
its supplement = 180-x
complement of the angle =90-x
3 times complement = 3(90-x)=270-3x
10 more =270-3x+10=280-3x..this is equal to supplement = 180-x
3x-x=280-180=100
x=100/2 = 50
