Question 502292: find two supplementary angles such that the measure of the first angle is 42 degrees less then three times the measure of the second
The Measure of the 1st angle is?
The Measure of the 2nd angle is?
Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + x + 42 = 180
2x = 138
x = 69 degrees, the smaller angle.
69 + 42 = 111 degrees, the larger angle.
69 degrees + 111 degrees = 180 degrees.
This does check,
Cleomenius.
