Question 502135: The angles are adjacent, forming an angle of 88 degrees. One is 36 degrees more than the other. Give two equations.
Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
angle 1 and angle 2 = 88 degrees.
====================================
x + 36 + x = 88
2x + 36 = 88
2x = 52
x = 26 degrees, this is the smaller angle.
26 + 36 = 62 degrees.
62 + 26 = 88 degrees.
This does check.
