Question 498618: When one-half the supplement of an angle is added to the complement of the angle, the sum is 120 Find the measure of the complement
Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2(180 - x) + (90 - x) = 120
90 - 1/2x + 90 - x = 120
60 = 1 1/2x
40 = x
The supplement is 140 degrees,
The complement is 50 degrees.
1/2(140) + 50 - 120.
This does check.
