Question 498029: Algebra BD bicects
Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. Since BD bisects ABC, ABD is 1/2 of ABC.
4x -12 = 12
4x = 24
x = 6
4(6) -12 = 12, Which is 1/2 if 24.
This checks.

2. Again, CBD is half of ABC
3x + 20 = 6x -16
36 = 3x
12 = x
CBD = 6(12) -16 = 56
ABD = 3(12) + 20 = 56
ABC will be 112.
