Question 498017: the measure of angle 1 is five less than four times the measure of angle 2. If angle one and angle 2 form a linear pair, what are their measures?
Answer by cleomenius(959)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x + 4x - 5 = 180
5x - 5 = 180
5x = 185
x = 37 degrees. This is one angle.
4(37) - 5 = 143 degrees. This is our second angle.
37 + 143 = 180 degrees.
This does check.
