Question 496278: the complement of an angle is 5 degrees more than 4 times the angle. what is the number of degrees in the measure of the angle?
Answer by cleomenius(959)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x + 5 + x = 90
5x = 85
x = 17 degrees, this is one angle.
4(17) = 68 + 5 = 73 degrees.
17 + 73 = 90 degrees.
This does check.
Cleomenius.
