Question 493624: what is value of x and y if 4x+2y=4x-2y

Answer by cleomenius(959)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
I come up with 0 for y,
4x + 2y = 4x - 2y
add 2y to each side.
4x + 4y = 4x
subtract 4x from each side.
4y = 0.
Now, plugging this into our original equation, we will get
4x = 4x
x can be any number.
