Question 491168: Find the measure of angle A if 5 times the complement of angle A is 150 degrees greater than the supplement of angle A.
Answer by cleomenius(959) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
5(90 -x)- 150 = 180 - x
450 - 5x -150 = 180 - x
300 - 5x = 180 - x
120 = 4x
30 degrees = x. This is our angle.
60 degrees = complement.
150 degrees = supplement.
5(60) = 300
300 - 150 = 150 degrees. This does check.
