Question 488766: Lines p and q intersect to form adjacent angles 1 and 2. if m<1 = 4x - 3 and m<2 = 3x + 8, find x so that <1 is supplementary to <2.
Answer by cleomenius(959)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
4x - 3 + 3x + 8 = 180 degrees.
7x + 5 = 180 degrees.
7x = 175 degrees.
x = 25 degrees.
Angle 1 = 4(25) - 3 = 97 degrees.
Angle 2 = 3(25) + 8 = 83 degrees.
97 degrees + 83 degrees = 180 degrees.
Cleomenius.
