I just can't seem to figure this one out. The book says to use the 5 steps, maybe I'm doing them wrong?

Angle P and Angle Q are supplementary angles. If Angle Q is ten less than four times Angle P, what are the measures of the angles?
**
P+Q=180
Q=180-P=4P-10
5P=190
P=38º
Q=180-38=142º
..
Alternate method:
P=180-Q
Q=4P-10
Q=4(180-Q)-10
Q=720-4Q-10
5Q=710
Q=142º
P=180-142=38º
