Question 472935: Use the 5 steps for problem solving. show work.
Angle P and Angle Q are supplementary angles.
if angle Q is ten less than four times angle P, what are the measures of the angles?

Answer by richard1234(7193)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P + Q = 180

Q = 4P - 10, replace this into the first equation.

P + (4P - 10) = 180

5P - 10 = 180

5P = 190, P = 38

Q = 180 - P = 142.
