"the measures of two angles of a triangle are five and six times as large as the measure of the smallest angle. find all three measures."

x = smallest angle
5x = one angle {five times the smallest}
6x = other angle {six times the smallest}

Angles of a triangle add up to 180°

x + 5x + 6x = 180 {added angles and set equal to 180}
12x = 180 {combined like terms}
x = 15 {divided both sides by 12}
5x = 75 {substituted 15, in for x, into 5x
6x = 90 {substituted 15, in for x, into 6x}

15°, 75°, and 90° are the three angles
