Two angles are complementary. they have measures of (7x+2)degree and (3x-2)degree, respectively. what is the value of x?
.
Since the sum of complementary angles is 90 degrees we get:
(7x+2) + (3x-2) = 90
7x+2 + 3x-2 = 90
10x+2-2 = 90
10x = 90
x = 9
