x = the angle
90 - x = complement {complementary angles add up to 90}
180 - x = supplement {supplementary angles add up to 180}

2(90 - x) = 180 - x - 30 {twice its complement is 30 less than its supplement}
180 - 2x = 150 - x {used distributive property and combined like terms on right}
30 - 2x = -x {subtracted 150 from both sides}
x = 30 {added 2x to both sides}

30 is the angle
