But in case you meant:
"An angle's measurement is 5 degrees (more or less) than 3 times it supplement."
I choose less:
a = 3(180-a)-5
a = 540 - 3a - 5
a + 3a = 540 - 5
4a = 535
a = 535/4
a = 133.75 degrees

See if that is true
133.75 = 3(80-133.75) - 5
133.75 = 3(46.25) - 5
133.75 = 138.75
