Let represent the measure of angle 2. Then angle 1 is represented by . The sum of two supplementary angles is , so:

Solve for to get the measure of angle 2. Multiply by 3 and add 6 to get the measure of angle 1.

Hi
angle 1 is 6 more than 3 times its supplement(angle 2),
Let x and (3x + 6) represent ∠2 and ∠1
Questions states***(Note: sum of supplementary angles is 180°
x + (3x + 6) = 180°
solving for x
4x = 174°
x = 43.5°, meausre of ∠2. Meausre of ∠1 is 136.5° (3*43.5°+ 6°)
CHECKING our Answer
43.5° + 136.5° = 180°
Note: If a question is regarding 'complementary' Angles: their sum is 90°
