i know that the isosceles triangle has two angles that are the same degree but i have no clue how to evn start this problem

Determine the measure (in degrees) of the third angle in an isosceles triangle, if the third angle is 10 more than one-half of either of the equal measure angles.
--------------------
Let each of the equal angles be "x":
3rd angle is (1/2)x+10.
-----
Equation:
sum of angles = 180
x + x + (1/2)x + 10 = 180
(5/2)x = 170
x = (2/5)170
---
x = 2*34
x = 68 degrees
3rd angle: (1/2)x+10 = (1/2)68+10 = 44 degrees.
