what is the measure of an angle that is 48 degrees greater than its complement
.
Let x = measure of our angle
then its
complement = 90-x
.
We get our equation from:"measure of an angle that is 48 degrees greater than its complement"
x = (90-x)-48
x = 90-x-48
x = 42-x
2x = 42
x = 21 degrees
