Question 345204: line CA bisects angle BCF
measure of angle ACF =(1/2x+6)
measure of angle BCF = x^2
find the measure of angle BCF and the measure of angle ACF

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
ACF =(1/2x+6)
BCF = x^2
BCF=2(x/2+6)
x^2=2(x/2+6)
x^2=x+12
x^2-x-12=0
(x-4)(x+3)=0
x-4=0
x=4
ACF=4/2+6=2+6=8 DEGREES.
BCF=4^2=16 DEGREES.
PROOF:
4^2=2(4/2+6)
16=2(2+6)
16=2*8
16=16
