Complementary angels add to 90 degrees...so
a + b = 90
and we also have
a = 1/2 b
now substitute and get
1/2 b + b = 90
3/2 b = 90
multiply by 2/3
b = 60
a = 30

Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
a + b = 90
b = 2a
a + 2a = 90
3a = 90
a = 30º
b = 60º
