Question 33455: I ASKED A QUESTION A WHILR AGO. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I USED YOUR SITE BECAUSE SOMONE TELL YOU HELP PEOPLE ALOT BUT WHEN I POSTED MY QUESTION ALL YOU DID WAS SEND ME THE FORMULAS I ALREADY HAD THEM. I was hoping you could show me the correct answers so i know what i was doing.i am posting them one more time.
1.find the volume of rectangular solid 15.7 cm by 2 cm by 3 cm
2. find the volume of a cylinder whose base has a diameter of 14ft and whose height is 23ft
3. volume of a square pyramid whose side is 12 cm and whose height is 12cm
I really hope you can help

Answer by sarah_adam(201)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Volume of Cubeoid = x*y*z where x,y and Z are the dimensions of cubeiod
Volume of cylinder : where r = radii and h =height
A square pyramid is a pyramid with a square base. It is a pentahedron.
Its volume is given as v = where x = length of the side of square base and h = height of the pyramid
Ok it was me who posted the formulas. I thought you need to do the working for yourself which may help you but since you want to know the correct way here iam solving them for you
volume of rectangular solid 15.7 cm by 2 cm by 3 cm
V = x*y*z
V = (15.7)(2)(3)= 94.2 cubic centimeters
Volume of cylinder =
given:
diameter of 14ft and whose height is 23ft
d = 14ft
2*r = 14ft
r = 14/2 = 7ft
so V = = 3538.78 cubic ft (pi =3.14)
v = is the volume of square pyramid
x = 12 cm and h = 12cm
V = = 576 cubic cm
Hope this helps.. Try to substitute those values and verify my solving and see if you got the same answers
