What is the size of an angle whose complement is 25% of its supplement
.
Let x = size of angle
then
90-x = complement of angle
180-x = supplement of angle
.
From:"complement is 25% of its supplement" we get our equation:
90-x = .25(180-x)
90-x = 45-.25x
90 = 45+.75x
45 = .75x
60 degrees = x
