Question 313002: Two angles are complimentary. The second angle measure 80 degrees less than the first angle. What is the measure of each angle?
Answer by rapaljer(4671) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x = first angle
x-80= second angle
Since the angles are complementary, they add up to 90 degrees.
x+x-80=90
2x-80=90
2x=170
x=170/2=85 degrees = First angle
Second angle = x-80
Second angle = 85-80=5 degrees
Check: 85 + 5=90 degrees, so it checks!
