then
(90-x) = its complement

Write an equation for the statement:
" an angle is 30 more than twice its complement",
x = 2(90-x) + 30
x = 180 - 2x + 30
x + 2x = 180 + 30
3x = 210
x = 210/3
x = 70 degrees (the larger angle
90-70 = 20 degrees (the smaller angle)
