The ratio of an angle to its supplement is 3:7. Find the ratio of the angle to its complement.
-----
Equation:
x/(180-x) = 3/7
Cross-multiply and solve for "x":
7x = 3(180-x)
7x = 540-3x
10x = 540
x = 54 degrees (the angle)
=====================
Complement = 90-54 = 26
Ratio of angle to complement: 54/26 = 27/13 = 27:13
