Answer by drk(1908)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let x be the angle and then 90-x is the compliment.
From above, we get
90-x = 54
subtract 90 to get
-x = -36
divide by -1 to get
x = 36 degrees.

Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x - 54 = 90
x = 90
-x = 90
------------------
YOU'RE MISSING THE OTHER ANGLE
X+(X-45)=90
2X-45=90
2X=90+45
2X=135
X=135/2
X=67.5 DEGREES FOR THE LARGER ANGLE.
67.5-45=22.5 DEGREES FOR THE SMALLER ANGLE.
