What are the measures of the two complementary angles 12q - 9 and 8q + 14?
-------
Complementary angles add to 90 degrees
-------------------
Equation:
12q-9 + 8q+14 = 90
20q + 5 = 90
20q = 85
q = 17/4
---------------
12q-9 = 12(17/4)-9 = 3*17-9 = 42 degrees
---
8q+14 = 8(17/4)+14 = 2*17+14 = 48 degrees
