Question 237515: Two angles are complementary. One angle has a measure that is five times the measure of the other angle. What is the measure, in degrees, of the larger angle?
Answer by College Student(505) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Two angles are complementary when they add up to 90 degrees. So,
90 degrees divided by 6 portions = 15 degrees.
You divide it by 6 so you can end up with 5 + 1.
Thus, one angle is 15*5=75 degrees.
The second angle is 15 degrees.
