Question 220394: what is the measure of an angle that is 100 less than three times its supplement
Answer by checkley77(12844)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x-100=3(180-x)
x-100=540-3x
x+3x=540+100
4x=640
x=640/4
x=160 degrees for the larger angle.
180-160=20 degrees for the smaller angle.
Proof:
160-100=3(180-160)
60=3*20
60=60
