Step 3. Then x=180-x-36 since the measure of an angle is 36 degrees less than the measure of its supplement. Solving yields the following steps
Add x to both sides of the equation to get
Divide 2 to both sides of the equation
and where x is 36 degrees less than its supplement of 108 degrees.
Step 4. ANSWER: The angle is 72 degrees and its supplement is 108 degrees.
